Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Nubisco, LDA, a company incorporated in Portugal. References to "Nubisco", "we", "us", or "our" in these terms refer to Nubisco, LDA. You can contact us at [email protected].
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using this website (nubisco.io), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
3. Use of this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use it in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations, infringes the rights of others, or could damage, disable, or impair the site or its services.
4. Intellectual property
The content of this website (including text, design, and graphics) is owned by or licensed to Nubisco, LDA. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
Nubisco distributes individual products under a range of licenses, including the MIT license (libraries such as Nubisco UI and OpenBridge), the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (Verba Community Edition), and the Business Source License 1.1 (OpenBridge Marketplace). The Verba Enterprise Edition is proprietary, and our commercial products such as Stagewright are proprietary, closed-source software sold under their own end-user license terms. Each product is governed by the terms of its own license, not by these Terms of Service. For the open-source products, see each project's public repository on GitHub for the authoritative LICENSE file.
For Stagewright, in plain English: a license is perpetual and covers one machine. No account is required to run the app; there is a one-time online activation per machine that binds your license to it. After that the app runs fully offline, no license server sits in the audio path, and your project files live locally on your disk. You can move a license to another machine yourself from the in-app license panel (up to four moves per year), and if you are ever without internet access when it matters, an emergency offline token (valid for about 7 days, available up to twice per year) keeps you running. Studios buy one license for each machine they run. The authoritative terms are in the end-user license agreement that ships with the app.
5. Third-party links
This site may contain links to third-party websites (such as GitHub or product documentation). These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them.
6. Disclaimers
This website and its content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Nubisco makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the information on this site for any particular purpose.
We do not guarantee that the site will be available at all times, free of errors, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nubisco, LDA shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or any content on it.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
